A journalist with a passion for classic men's elegance, Simon writes freelance articles for several international magazines as well as running his own website, Permanent Style.

The Rake is the only magazine dedicated to the elegance of classic men’s style. Based in Singapore but distributed worldwide, with reporters in the UK, US and Europe, The Rake was launched in 2008 to cater to the growing wealth of people interested in tailoring and classic style.
The Rake features interviews with Savile Row tailors, behind-the-scenes features on factories on Italy and profiles of the owners of the world’s biggest brands. It is sold on newsstands in Hong Kong and Singapore and is available by subscription elsewhere in the world.
Simon has written in The Rake on the history of Turnbull & Asser, and on his theory of diminishing returns in the hand-crafting stages of benchmade shoes.
